ABOUT Saudi Post

Saudi Post is a public government organization and the official operator of postal services that regulates and offers postal services in the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology functions under the brand name Saudi Post and is referred to within Kingdom as al-Bareed.

  • Refreshing the complete IT processes requires an efficient disaster recovery and backup protection systems. Saudi Post lacked such systems and was unable to provide flexible IT solutions to meet customer requirements. Besides, their data-center estate had to bring to a modern standard.
  • This difficult situation paved the way to think about outsourcing core IT services to best and competent organization.

  • The IT processes included many customized and old method of applications with web services hosting. This was quite a challenge as those services were done across aging heterogeneous infrastructure with poor performance.

    5) Managing the node includes proactive management to escalate alerts when applications SLAs are about to break.
  • As Saudi Post is using cloud solutions which are fully managed by Virtustream-MENA, they can easily manage IT workloads in a flexible and cost-effective manner.
  • Now SP is capable of governing and providing chargeback services to internal and external stakeholders on a pay as go basis.
